The AI extracts facts. The code decides eligibility.
That was not the first design. Asking the model “is this candidate eligible?” gave answers that changed between runs — the same ISRO notification was a match once and a rejection the next time, and a graduate was refused a post whose only requirement was a bachelor's degree. Extraction is what a language model is reliable at; comparing two numbers is not something worth asking it twice.
So the model returns qualification level, age range and any category, domicile or gender restriction, and a small function applies them. Qualification is treated as a minimum — a graduate is eligible for a 12th-pass post, not the reverse. Every decision carries the reason that produced it, and the reason is written to the sheet:
